Furniture, Mattress & Appliance Removal in Monroe and Toledo

Furniture and appliances are the single most common call we get, and they are also the two things curbside pickup is most likely to refuse. Toledo and most Monroe County communities cap what they will take at the curb, and a mattress or a refrigerator often is not on the list at all. We take them from wherever they sit. Sectionals come apart when a doorway is too tight, mattresses get bagged so nothing sheds on your stairs, and appliances go out on a stair-climbing dolly with door jambs and hardwood protected. Refrigerators, freezers, and window air conditioners contain refrigerant, which is federally regulated — those go to a facility with certified recovery, never straight to a scrap pile.

Sounds like your place?

Not sure whether this is the right service, or what it should cost? If any of these sound familiar, call us — we'll look at it, tell you straight what it takes, and quote one flat price for the whole job.

  • Curbside left a sticker on the mattress and drove away
  • The couch came in before the wall did and will not go out in one piece
  • A new appliance is being delivered and the old one has to be gone first
  • The treadmill has been a clothes rack for two years
  • You are downsizing a parent's home and the furniture is not coming with them

One crew, both sides of the state line

Monroe County, Michigan and Lucas County, Ohio are fifteen minutes apart and run on different disposal systems — different transfer stations, different tipping fees, different rules on appliances, tires and construction debris. That is why so many haulers work one side and turn the other down. We run both counties as a single service area and route each load to the facility that will actually take it, so a Temperance job and a Toledo job get the same price and the same truck.

How It Works

From the first call to an empty room

1

Call or Send Photos

Tell us what you have, or text a couple of photos. For straightforward loads we can quote from pictures; for cleanouts we come look. Either way it costs nothing.

2

Firm Price On Site

We walk the job with you, point at exactly what is going, and give you a flat price for the whole thing. If you say no, we leave and there is no charge.

3

We Load It Out

You point, we carry. Doorways and banisters get protected, and everything comes out of the room it is in — you should not have to move a thing to the curb first.

4

Swept Up and Sorted

We sweep the space before we pull out, then sort the load on our end: donations dropped, metal scrapped, electronics recycled, and only the rest to the transfer station.

Furniture & Appliance Removal — FAQs

Yes, and this is one of our most common calls precisely because curbside so often will not. We bag mattresses before they leave the room so nothing sheds on your stairs or in the hallway. See mattress disposal in Monroe County and Lucas County.

Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant, which under federal EPA rules has to be recovered by a certified technician before the unit is scrapped. We route those to a facility that does it properly — details in our appliance disposal guide.

Then it comes apart. Sectionals separate, sofa legs and arms come off, and if a sleeper sofa genuinely cannot make the turn we will cut it down in place rather than damage your doorway. It is a very common outcome on basement furniture and it does not change your price.

Single-item furniture pickups generally run $95–$175 depending on size, weight and how far it has to travel out of the house. A basement sectional costs more than a recliner in the garage, for obvious reasons.

Yes, and it is worth scheduling us for the morning of the delivery. Retail delivery haul-away is often refused if the old unit is not disconnected, is in a basement, or is not the same type as the new one — we do not have those restrictions.
