Toledo and most Monroe County communities cap what they will take at the curb, and a mattress or a refrigerator often is not on the list at all. We take them from wherever they sit. Sectionals come apart when a doorway is too tight, mattresses get bagged so nothing sheds on your stairs, and appliances go out on a stair-climbing dolly with door jambs and hardwood protected. Refrigerators, freezers, and window air conditioners contain refrigerant, which is federally regulated — those go to a facility with certified recovery, never straight to a scrap pile.

Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant, which under federal EPA rules has to be recovered by a certified technician before the unit is scrapped. We route those to a facility that does it properly — details in our appliance disposal guide.
Then it comes apart. Sectionals separate, sofa legs and arms come off, and if a sleeper sofa genuinely cannot make the turn we will cut it down in place rather than damage your doorway. It is a very common outcome on basement furniture and it does not change your price.
Single-item furniture pickups generally run $95–$175 depending on size, weight and how far it has to travel out of the house. A basement sectional costs more than a recliner in the garage, for obvious reasons.
Yes, and it is worth scheduling us for the morning of the delivery. Retail delivery haul-away is often refused if the old unit is not disconnected, is in a basement, or is not the same type as the new one — we do not have those restrictions.
